Hello!
Autumn is almost here, with its smells, the crisp air, the changing light and cooler evenings. I feel like summer flew by.
New partnerships are in the works for the autumn and the months to come. A few clients who took the summer to rest, have announced many new projects as well. This is going to be a productive season!
For my vacation, I took a few days to spend a long weekend in Vauvert, Lac Saint-Jean, with a good friend for a girl trip. I know the Lac Saint-Jean region very well, having spent all my teenage years there, and my mother lives in Saint-Henri-de-Taillon, by the lake, but this was my first time in Vauvert, a very charming area with beautiful beaches.
I also went to Prince-Edward Island and Nova Scotia with my husband, and made a quick surprise visit to my family there.
Finally, we spent a few days in the Montreal area. I spent some time with my dad, my brother and my sister in law. My mom came along for the lovely trip.
Summer is often a time to slow down and learn to appreciate and maximise your free time, take the time to write, work on your business and recharge in order to be full of energy for the autumn boom!
It’s also a time for changes in the weather, some of them more surprising than others!
Writing/grammar tip
Hurricanes, cyclones, and typhoons are all the same weather phenomenon; we just use different names for these storms in different places. In the Atlantic and Northeast Pacific, the term “hurricane” is used. The same type of disturbance in the Northwest Pacific is called a “typhoon” and “cyclones” occur in the South Pacific and Indian Ocean.
The ingredients for these storms include a pre-existing weather disturbance, warm tropical oceans, moisture, and relatively light winds. If the right conditions persist long enough, they can combine to produce the violent winds, incredible waves, torrential rains, and floods we associate with this phenomenon.
In the Atlantic, hurricane season officially runs June 1 to November 30. However, while 97 percent of tropical activity occurs during this time period, there is nothing magical in these dates, and hurricanes have occurred outside of these six months.
