Hello!
As promised, here is my focus word for 2014. Actually, it’s more an expression than a word, and it represents exactly what I am going for.
For 2014, I will focus on “LETTING GO”.
As in simple, easy, positive relationships, clear communication and especially, letting go of control and accepting events, reactions and situations that are not my own.
In 2013, I dealt with clients who were not ready to work with a Virtual Assistant, did not know what they wanted, did not pay their bills and others who communicated very little and/or very poorly. I went through personal challenges. I won back most of my FREEDOM but I also paid the price.
For 2014, I am letting go. I will work professionally, communicate clearly, and not get too worked up about situations that are out of my control. I will accept things as they are and work on my personal goals and business goals.
I will be the best “me” that I can be, because I cannot control other people’s actions and reactions.
I must admit that this is quite a challenge for the beginning of this year, because we are doing some major renovations at home, with all the unforeseen surprises and delays that go with this type of thing.
Let’s just say I’m a little hard on myself!
